Blog Window Widget Now Pays You!

I am proud to announce that the Blog Window widget now supports advertising campaigns that pay you to host this widget on your site.  It is perfect timing now that the Blog Window widget has reached a 200,000 page-views-per-day milestone. You may have already noticed that the space right below the area where your top posts appear is just perfect size where a small ad can appear. We have just finished implementing and testing a brand new advertising technology that will allow such a small ad to be placed there.  In the beginning we will be using ads exclusively for products from Amazon.com.  Amazon offers a tremendous inventory of products, which allows one of the highest conversions of most advertising campaigns.   In the future we will expand our advertising choices. Today, if you are a member of the Amazon Associates program, you have an ability to enter your Amazon Associates id number.  No matter how large or small your site is, the majority of all page views of the Blog Window widget will carry ads with your Amazon Associates id. This means that if the reader of your site clicks on the ad and makes a purchase from Amazon, you will be getting a cash commission direct from Amazon.  The percentage of ads running with your Amazon Associates id will go up if your site has significant traffic.  High-traffic sites receive the vast majority of all advertising impressions served with your Amazon Associates id.   A small number of ad impressions on your site will carry the AffiliateBrand Amazon Associates ID.  This is how we will make some revenue on the widget without charging you for this service. In an effort to increase click-through and conversion rates, we will try to serve the ads that match your site's content.  The more advertising matches the content of a site, the more likely it is that your readers will click on the ad and make a purchase, earning you a commission.  While we will try to match the ad to your site's content as accurately as possible, if you still think that some ads we display are not appropriate for your site or that some other ads may be more appropriate, please leave me a comment as a response to this post. To enter your Amazon Associates id, simply visit the Blog Window Registration Page, edit your widget and click on the "Advertising" tab.  If you are not currently a member of the Amazon Associates program, click here to join Amazon Associates. Any site that displays sexually explicit or other inappropriate content will not be eligible to display advertising.  We will be reviewing each site over the next few days and will turn on advertising for all appropriate sites.
